A very nice hotel just in front of the beach. The rooms are clean and the people very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Beautiful small hotel directly at the beach. Modern rooms, wonderfully friendly staff and some of the best food I have ever had in my life. Small minus is the lack of free WiFi.

We loved our stay at Amboy's Hotel. The best part of our stay is that it was very close to the beach and one can enjoy Batanes sunset just in front of the hotel. The beach front itself is just as scenic as any other place in Batanes. We also love their garden. They grow the vegetables that they use in their menu. Downside is the poor internet coverage in the area. If you are into nature-loving and limited social media connectivity, this hotel is for you. :)

Highly recommended place to stat while in Batanes. What I like about this place is they have a self sustaining restaurant where food is freshly picked from their backyard and the ornamental plants in the frontyard are all edible. The staffs are very accommodating, clean and comfy bed.

Amboy Hometel is one of a kind accommodation with its own vegetable garden. On our first night there, we stayed at a room near the front, near the beach, near the restaurant. This room was awesome. Almost perfect. The other two nights, we stayed at one of the new rooms at the back, near their service area. No problem with that at all. But because the room is new, most likely, it has not been occupied before, there are some things that need to be addressed: - the mirror is too low. One has to stoop to even see oneself. And we are your average height Filipinos. - there is insufficient hanging racks for towels in the bathroom. It was a room for 3 people and there was only 1 rack for the towels. - the shower curtain was short, so we had to move the rod lower in order to prevent the water from the shower to get to the toilet area. - there was no phone signal in the room, or even outside the room. - there is insufficient bench space in the toilet/bath for toiletries. -the television signal kept cutting out, day or night. Over all, we still recommend Amboy. The staff are very amiable. They even requested for a tricycle to pick us up from downtown when we could not get one from where we were. BTW, their seaweed soup is divine!!
