Batanes... it seems everybody is putting this in their bucket list. It is a serene place so very appropiate to those who does not look for nite life. People are so kind and everybody you meet in streets greet you and willing to offer durections. Internet and cellphone signal is not available all over but on very rare sites. Be sure to prepare a lot of cash as credit cards are not accepted in a lot of places. Plus everything is expensive. Just note that it is very costly to transport goods from luzon island to batanes. It is an island catering only to not more than 20,000 inhabitants so a lot of items are limited

The location is just a street away from the airport. You can also walk going to church and to the market. The staff are friendly specially Jason the Hotel Manager. The rooms are clean and smells nice. And not to forget the food is really good. Two thumbs up for Pension Ivatan!!

Our Batanes experience was simply great until we took our snacks at PI. And the reason of my disappointment was the wrong way they computed our senior citizen discount. Even after we showed them how to compute it correctly, they still did not give us the proper discount. Okay it's a few hundred pesos, but - like they say - it's the principle of the thing.☹️
