Zeny's Restaurant

One of the best and unexpected restaurant that we encounter during our trip to bicol region. You wont expect that the food is that good. The ambiance are great (vs the front of the store) and the seafoods are live and fresh. Reasonably higher in terms of price but its all worth it.

This place is so un-assuming. If you were driving on the Pan-Philippines Hwy, you'd probably miss it. It just looks like every roadside family provincial kitchen that sells little trinkets (similar to all the other ones you see every 500mtrs in the Philippines. We were taken hear by a local not know what to expect. As we walked into the shopfront, we were guided to a small set of stairs at the back (I thought we were just going to see this person's backyard.) As we walked down the stairs, I was greeted by a number of alfresco huts of various sizes next to the river, shaded by a number of trees. This was paradise that you only read about in those tropical food safari books. Each hut had a number of tables and a sink for washing your hands. As they started to bring out the delicious seafood (best crabs I've ever tasted), you understand why you needed to wash your hands. The only way to really enjoy the food was to release all inhibitions and dig right in. Drinks were plenty, as the customary Filipino Karaoke wafted through the air. A truly memorable experience that I cant wait to repeat.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Good seafood cooked at your choice, affordable price. Nice ambience. Recommended for groups as they have large servings.

If you are in a hurry on trip with a limited time, this is not a place for you to eat. You miss the appreciation on food. Costing as for tourist(middle to high class because of crab/shrimp cost. You are the one to choose the size of crabs and shrimps then they cook that takes your time. But when your done eating, this will contribute to your lifeline. MA SA RAP as some says...
