Malatapay Wharf

You need to have a reservation first or else go the wharf on that day (you need to be early) so that you can find a group to reach the Apo Island. The boat is more cheaper if you join the other group. But if you are only one, they offer you a 3,000-4,000php / roundtrip.

My first trip to the Philippines included this sample of a typical market place in Negros Oriental. The trip to Apo Island with family members via "pump boat" was exciting, especially when one the 2 boats' motor died. This was in May 1989.
