Body and Sole

This review is for the Body and Sole Tacloban in the Astrodome. As a Filipino American I love the facility over other places in Tacloban because: 1. I didn’t have to climb a dim narrow stairway to get to their front door 2. They had actual wall divisions, my husband is 6’2” and at other places his feet hangs and therefore he sometimes feel other people passing by when they just have curtains 3. Music was good and the place did not have any obnoxious decor. It was calming. 4. My 1st massage was ok if you were not used to hilot or deep tissue massage. I value an even massage between my right and left side and she did a good job in distribution of pressure. 5. The aircon in the 1st floor is quiet and cold. 6. Not a lot of staff noise. I have been in massage facilities that had kids running around. If I wanted to hear kids while getting a massage, I would have brought mine. So I value the peacefulness, I didn’t even hear one cell phone chirp. 7. Price was great P350 for an hour lay down massage is great. Now what cost some stars: 1. My massage missed a lot of my pressure points on my back and head. She did my feet and hands really well but my larger muscles needed more of a strategic approach that she missed. My lats did not feel like it got touched. 2. The second floor has an absolutely perfect view of the Bay and they faced their chairs to the wall. I would want my foot spa overlooking that bay. It’s a missed opportunity to not capitalize on their location. 3. I found this place because my mom knew of it but otherwise I would not have known. They have a Facebook page but most people still use google maps to find locations and look at reviews and this place still have the wrong location. Overall I would go back to try another masseuse and see if their training is different. I certainly like the openness of the location.
