Edit: expect the kind of response from the owner we received below if you stay here. We had to leave when we did because they double booked the house. Not sure what else to say anymore. I really wanted to like this place. And there were a couple of good things about it, but overall I just can't recommend it. That being said, let me start with a couple of positive things. Pros: The people working there were friendly, and they seemed to want to help. It was a big place, and they did keep up with the sheets and towels. Cons: Let's start with them wanting to be helpful. It was great that they wanted to help. But they honestly didn't know much about the services on their own island. We asked about laundry and were told to do it by hand, but there were laundry services on the island, lots of them, and it was cheap. We asked about renting a vehicle and they said we would have to go back to Cagayan De Oro to rent a car (like a 10 hour round trip minimum), but there were at least two car rental places right on the main road, and we found others as well. And again, it was very affordable for us. When we asked about good places to eat they sent us to very kitschy, but not very good food places. When we asked what to do they sent us to the Hot Spring (probably the worst thing to do on the island since they have cooled off almost completely). Like I said. They wanted to help. But the recommendations just weren't actually helpful. I'm glad I knew this might be the case going in and didn't always listen. Do your own research if you go here. Because you'll need to. But that was honestly the least of the issues, the house was HOT! We told them the AC in one of the rooms barely worked and they said they had recharged it a couple days before so we should be ok. We were not. The upstairs unit got cold. The downstairs unit barely cut the humidity and did nothing on the heat. So then they said it was because there are two doors, but I was a stickler about making sure they were always closed and even kept a towel at the bottom to trap as much cold as possible. It did not help at all. We sweat all night. My kids could barely sleep the first few nights. It was bad. And there was no response. Also, only the rooms have AC, so on any normally hot day the TV area was useless because you'd sweat through your clothes before you could even finish a show. Nevermind the fact that the satellite TV never worked. Nor did the house have Internet. We complained about this because it was something we called in advance to check on and were promised we'd have, but we did not. They had a unit up at the main building that we could get spotty connection from in one room (the one with terrible AC) or we could walk up and sit in the Cafe at the front of the property (also no AC and doubled as a Kareoke bar) but the rest of the house and the little bungalow outside got nothing. This was a working vacation for us, so that was another huge problem! Also, this place is a LONG way from anything. You wouldn't really know that just looking at a map, but because you can rarely go over 50kmh on that ring road, you are a good 45 minutes from any kind of amenities or entertainment (In any direction). But wait folks, that's not all! The kitchen was also terrible. We showed up to a sink and counter full of ants. So we got spray and had to use it daily to keep them at bay. There was also no silverware beyond three or 4 spoons, there no bowls, there was no working coffee pot (they brought two to try, and neither worked) the stove was a fire hazard at best, and the fridge is tiny. All of this made a long stay miserable, because rather than making our own food (as planned) we had to end up eating out almost every meal. Then to top it off, at the end of the stay they tried to charge us 200pesos a day extra. When I showed them the email at the correct price they accepted that, but then charged us for the ride back to Port (they didn't charge to pick us up, and had said those rides would be free). So in the end, I don't recommend staying here.

Very far from most of the things people come to the Island to view. About 10 miles from anything. We paid for an very, extremely small room. We asked for room for 2 adults and 1 7 year old kid. Got the budget room, no blanket just 2 sheets,no hot water. Not what we asked for and paid $32usd for it, not worth it. Manager of the Inn, very helpful and our situation.
