Very convenient transacting if it is new or renewal application.
Biometrics capturing is slow, maybe because of many applicants..
Convinient and quick transaction
Very convenient passport renewal. I recommend DFA Legazpi 5 stars.
8/8/19 - i grabbed mobile phone and set an online appointment thru their online application. I picked 8/15/19 as my DFA appointment scheduled
Paid the online application fee of 1,200 at the nearest 7-11 store. PHP 1,250 including the service fee.
8/14/19 - i visit the DFA Legazpi office at Pacific Mall Legazpi City and secure all the needed documents and papers that needs to be photocopied. The security guard on duty told me the following:
1. Printed Online Application Form. Must be A4 paper.
2. Expired old passport. Photocopy of the main page thatvhas the data and information. Pages 4 and 5. and the last oage that contains the emergency contact number.
3. Secure all important documents such as PSA/NSO birth certificate.
8/15/19 - my appointment is 9am. Need to be atleast 15-30mins in DFA. It only took me 15-20mins to completely process my passport renewal, including the submitted documents, biometrics, and photo. LBC is the courier if you want tour passport to be delivered to your doorstep. 5-7 workings days. PHP 150 is the delivery fee. The passport jacket costs php50.
Hope that this review help other people like you and me.
Place reeks of incompetence, and is a great quality audit case study. Nobody here wears name tags or visible identification. Step 1 makes you get another photocopy of your printed digital receipt and points to the very convenient, six times more expensive photocopying service within their premises. Returning three weeks later (had to make corrections for birth certificate), the boy again asks to have the receipts photocopied, even when the old extra copies were still there. Take note that the photocopier does not issue receipts. Step 2 Processing personnel receive a lot of complaints, but are fair for the most part. They will not explain problems though unless you ask. So ask. Also don't get bothered by their attitudes. Just filter it off. They are working dead end jobs and have grown old there, and will vent on you when they can (you working on travel plans while they're stuck here vibe). Step 3 Cashier is a chubby elephantress and was reading a law review module, during office hours, wasting six precious minutes (yes I timed it). P.S. DFA needs to bring back payment on site instead of online, or offer back refunds for clients whose requirements have problems that takes more than a month to fix. It breaks an accounting principle: there is no service rendered yet. Step 4 was unremarkable. Unremarkable is the best thing here, considering everything else. (You can opt for courier services to have your passport delivered when you're done. ) I returned weeks later to claim my passport. Was sent to the backroom where a gay sounding information officer, who again didn't wear a name tag or ID and didn't introduce himself, explained that our passports are delayed, and keeps hinting that it's DFA Manila's fault. Waver we signed for delays such as this was DFA Manila's idea too (sure dude). He gave us three contact numbers for DFA Legazpi to follow up on our passports, and also out of nowhere says that the landline has been broken and blames the Telco for not sending a repairman (again, sure dude. Check their Facebook. Apparently nobody answers their calls for a year now. Phone's been broke for a year? Gimme a break). I tested him by asking if the other two contacts replied promptly, and he assured us that they did (nope, they didn't). Email didn't reply to my inquiry until 13 days later, barely safe from the 14 day gov't communications rule. Shoes I ordered online locally arrived faster than your reply. A gadget ordered online from overseas cleared customs in 4 hours, and arrived less than 9 days; mind blowing since DFA can't even do a simple inventory check and email promptly. Also had claimed my passport days earlier, which is funny because the email said that my passport hasn't arrived yet. Sloppy, sloppy work, DFA Legazpi.
