Me and my family were going to stay here, but were forced to find different accommodations due to the deplorable state of the resort. If no one wants to read the details below, just know you should find a better place because this place is a rip off and there's so much better.
The zipline was broken. Disappointing, but fine, we can do without even though that was what we really wanted to do.The shared bathrooms were to be expected, but disappointing regardless. No toilet seat, toilet paper, and a uncomfortably wet experience since the room was also being used for laundry washing and everything, including toilet, was soaked. They didn't have a big enough room for all of us (group of 10). Which is understandable, but the biggest room could only sleep 7 (if the bigger beds were shared by 2 people) and they wanted 4,000 p for that which simply isn't even worth that price. It's a rip off and we knew we could find better. We decide to eat there, and in the cafeteria they had a choice of three trays of food. Adobo, fish, and squid. These things were kept in a glass case.
With no refrigeration.
With.Flies.
There were flies in the case and on the food. Who knows how long the food had been sitting there. Being from the United States, I knew I couldn't risk eating it and getting a foodborne illness. My digestive system simply isn't as good as your average Filipino native. Anyways, the cafeteria area was stifling hot- no air flow, and only one fan, which was used to focus on the one man sitting at a table. My family asked if they could cook us up something fresh. A woman pulled fish out of the freezer using her bare hands to make something. But the fish looked… surprisingly juicy for just coming out of the freezer. My sister then notices that the freezer wasn't even plugged in! Who knows how often that they actually turned it on, and how many times the contents froze and thawed out. Realizing this is a HUGE health risk for the people in the group from the States, we decided to go into town to eat. However, we still wanted to do the kawa hot baths. The tubs were rusty and not maintained, and looked like a risk for Tetanus. Not like the pictures. Not worth it. We left, very disappointed. We did find a WAY better resort further up the coast on an island that had a room for 10 and costed 5,000 a night, and was 20 times better than the Blue Resort.
So don't stay here. Don't risk getting sick and spend your money at a better resort.
It is very good to be at Bluewave.. Especially if kasama mu ang pamilya at love ones.. The ambiance and the environment is very relaxing..
