Royalty feels as we walked through Okada Lounge’s hallway all with diamond shelves stocked with a humongous number of fine Henessys and Remys. Fully stocked cigars well-stored in wood trays all compact in a fancy humidor room. Cohiba, Hoyo de Monterrey, Montecristo, and Partagas cigars make up the majority of this collection. Would you believe a stick costs up to P15,000 each? Yup, wow! Okada Lounge’s luxurious walkway leads to two different parts, the main lounge and a private enclosed smoking area. The smoking area boasts large leather couches that took us to a different era with its dark wood finish with classy gold linings. The main lounge, on the other hand, lean towards a modern yet ultra chic vibe with huge couches fit for royalty. We remembered only five areas with two of them can only occupy two persons. Date night, here we come! On days a quick drink is needed, this well-lit bar can house few sittings on their comfy and hip high chairs. When we say Okada Lounge is smart and stylish, it really is smart and stylish! We were handed this tablet to assist to our needs. Don’t know which wine to order? Fret no more! This tech can help you. Of course, they still have this world-class service from their staffs which we delightfully recommend as all their servers were so professional yet friendly and warm. While waiting for our drinks and grubs, we got this tier of cashew nuts and chips. Okada Lounge also showcases irresistible bar chows with great drinks on the side. Their selection of foods is quite limited but sure is a nice line up for a unique experience. Crispy Squid Tentacles (P430) – have you ever had something that’s perfectly melt-in-your-mouth-and-not-hard-crispy crispy? We have! These super tender and exquisitely golden squid tentacles are our night’s favorite. The serving looks inadequate at first glance but wait ’til you dig in. It’s an endless calamari fest. Thai Fish Cake (P520) – who would’ve thought that a classic street food from Thailand would make its way to luxury. Okada Lounge bravely added this to their line up for those who are into basil and more earthy taste that blends in well with the seafood flavor. Bacon Wrapped Scallops Skewers (P770) – all hail to whoever thought that bacon would go perfectly well with scallops. Imagine huge scallops wrapped in bacon and deep fried and slathered with sweet and sour sauce. Chicken Skewer (P520) – juicy and tender pieces of marinated then grilled boneless and skinless chicken meat. These turned out more to a sweet finish with a sauce on the side for an added kick of flavor. Deep-fried Mushroom with Onion (P410) – for those who are not into meat, this veggie platter is a good choice – a generous number of onion rings and a stack of deep fried mushrooms in the middle, also with a sauce on the side for dipping. Pinot Grigio (P280) – we wanted something light, so we ordered this Pinot Grigio, a fresh and easy fruit flavored white wine. We got two glasses of this as part of Zomato Gold’s 2+2 on Drinks promo.
