Daniel Fajardo Elementary School

A place where children learn to live and live to learn.

I was born in Manila and went to school at Daniel Fajardo Elementary School for my 1st grade. My mom went back to her native land, the US, and I left the Philippines. I have been gone closed to 50 years. Recently, I had the urged to Google what I remembered as happy childhood places in Las Pinas. The school, the church, the ocean and my own home just on the bend of San Jose St from the main road are the top on my list. Though the places look different now, I remembered the short piano classes across my home, receiving first honors in my first grade, and singing with a choir in front of the bamboo organ. I once took a walk to the beach area which is now far from what I remembered. Though I left the Philippines a long time ago and it was a short of a stay when I was there to me it was beautiful. I think of visiting Las Pinas eventhough it's very different now. I'm sure my sweet memories will take me back to the time when life was just simple for a small child like me!
