It's free! I must say it exceeded my expectations. If you wanna relax with nature this is a place to go it has lots of animals and has a big play area for the kids. Small restaurant/cafe. Horse back riding for a very cheap price! It has a large parking area too.
It got lots of exotic animals but some cages for the birds were not big enough for their own comfort. Also there were no bushes or shrubs in the keeping zone of the Philippine Deer so they seemed like they were uncomfortable because they don't have a proper place to hide in one place to another. All these were evaluations of veterinary students which guided us in the zoo.
NO ENTRANCE FEE! Absolutely free. You will be greeted by warm-spirited guards at the entrance and receive a short orientation before going near the animals. If you want to know some information about the contained species, you can find them around the cages. They are printed on tarpaulins. Landscape is really cool, and you can find benches to rest on just in case your knees wear out from strolling. It's a small zoo, but it takes care of its animal really well.
I am especially entertained by that one speaking parrot. Haha. And having around the zoo an entertainment park for kids, a forest of pines, a snack bar, and an affordable horseback riding opportunity makes it a multiple catch from a hit with a single projectile.
The Malaybalay Capitol grounds is adjacent to bukidnon zoological park. It has a nice varieties of animals where kids can easily identify and be familiar with. Has a play place for kids. With a good pine trees backdraft, natural cool weather, and a perfect place for families wanting to relax and chill.
It's a nice little zoo for no charge. Really enjoyable. Although some of the animals seem to need more space.
