The best barbeque in town

Going here is like going through a memory lane. The food tastes just as the same. I can still remember when people opt to celebrate here during graduation and birthday. The BBQ here tastes good just as how BBQ tastes at gensans' famous tiongson bbq. I highly suggest to locals of Gensan to visit and dine in the place once in a while as this place was once a pride of ours. I'd be more than happy to know if the place is still int the business even years from now. Long live marietta's.

While the Lagao bbq is the trademark bbq of Gensan, Marietta's bbq is also one the best-tasting bbq in Gensan. They also serve other home-cooked meals that are affordable. Their place is also clean, although not airconditioned.

This was THE pork and chicken barbecue place to go to during the 80s and 90s in downtown Gensan and was famous for its original dipping sauce or sawsawan. Since most of the action have shifted to the malls, uptown Gensan and Lagao, Marietta's has lost much of its luster. The generals seem to prefer the tocino-tasting pork/chicken bbqs now than the less adulterated taste of Marietta's offerings. Still, if you care for the original Marietta-style taste, then visit them at the outlet at the corner of Magsaysay and Beatiles Streets. They also have a fastfoods counter that serves homestyled Pinoy dishes. Very affordable prices. If there is one thing I want them to do... clean up the toilets and the washing area.
