Canlubang, was under the jurisdiction of the parishes of Calamba, Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa and Biñan. In 1948, news spread that the Hon. Jose Yulo, Sr. would buy Canlubang from Don Vicente Madrigal. Doña Cecilia Yulo erected a Church with: Mr. Jose Sanvictores (Resident Manager), Aleste Zaralla, Carmen Gorrez and Helen Dimayuga whom they had the first meeting or appointment with Monsignor Alfredo Ma. Obviar (Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Lipa).
