Closed until further notice due to the pandemic?? One of the most open and spacious areas in Manila...CLOSED, due to COVID. And the shopping malls are packed! And no notice anywhere online that this place is closed until further notice. Folks, this is about the SAFEST place you could open during the pandemic. Really sad...

I went to visit the Manila’s American War Cemetery today to pay respect ... however understandable this sacred land is closed still ( for now ) during the Coronavirus restrictions So I took these photos from outside the fence ... plus 2 photos from when I was landing into Manila 2 weeks ago Last time I visited this War Cemetery was around 20 years ago

I travel to the Philippines for business and like visiting places like this just like The Punchbowl Memorial in Hawaii. Very quiet and beautiful. It is very humbling walking through the rows of crosses and reading the names and ages of the fallen servicemen who paid the ultimate price.

Spotless, manicured, peaceful, emotional....an unexpected place in busy Manila....17000 tombs of soldiers, American and Filipino, some with a cross, some with a David star, some with a name, some without....no matter what political side you defend, the story of these guys, who died far away from their motherland, just to obey orders, and just because it's war....is wrenching...there are not so many beautiful places in Manila, and this one is truly beautiful. And Calm.

Free of charge for the museum. You must not bring any food or drink inside. The museum has well organized, and it is a peaceful place to visit and learn the effect of the war. Suitable for the family and good for the children to walk around the park. Recommend for taking American or veteran to visit this place.
