Tabon Caves

Tour Guide is so accommodating and knowledgeable. Its like a glimpse of history at its finest. 30 mins boat ride from the pier almost an hour worth or hike but its all worth it. The beauty of limestone and the forest are breathtaking. Highly recommended. ❤

Don't forget to get a permit from either the tourist office or national museum. If driving don't follow Google maps! Basically leave town and take the first main turning right and then the next main turning to the right, it's a good concrete road all the way and you pass the viewpoint. There are no signposts. At the carpark you must check in and meet your guide, a guide is essential and apparently free, though he appreciated a tip at the end. The tour takes 1.5 - 2 hours and is quite demanding, there are a lot of steps! A torch will be useful, also good walking shoes. There are lots of individual caves. Some small. Others huge. It is really a very nice experience and well worth the hard work. Lots of bats in the caves and we saw monkeys in the trees outside. Recommended.

Historical.. archeological. A must see!

This place is really interesting and well worth a visit, Government currently repairing the landing pier. So we landed in the shallows and waded ashore. The chap we had guiding us was really good company and very informative and knowledgeable, forget his name, but I know he was just volunteering there.

There are a lot of historical caves to explore. We are accompanied by guard and a cute doggo in our entire tour. Unforgettable trekking experience
