Sunlight Guest Hotel, Coron, Palawan

6 fouls. First, they put us in an ugly room. Stinky bathroom. Second, they said they will move us to a different room, BUT never happened. Not even an update. Third, I asked for an upgrade which I was willing to pay, but they said I have to contact Agoda for that. Fourth, I reserved 3 times to get a bayside table on Valentine’s day and all said yes, BUT DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. Fifth, they kicked us out at the poolside as early as 11 noon to set up their valentine tables. 6th they said buffet starts at 7, I starved coz it didn’t start on time. No one even bothered to say anything.

2.5 pts Beds have something that is not quite a mattress (very hard and thin). They have this emergency light in front of the bed which has a bright red light that shines through your eyes the entire night. Room smelled kind of like roaches nest first day and second day the elevetaror smelled of pestiside for roaches. Restaurant service takes forever (but we found that in Coron everyone takes "their own" time -even walking-)

The hotel is clean, accommodating hotel staff, delicious food and near to the port if you opt to go to twin lagoon, shipwreck, kayangan lake, etc.

It couldn't get any worse.
