Cheap but bad location. Don't pay without checking the place. Not safe.

Aside from the fact that there are bedbugs currently here (I have it on video), what you won’t be told by the management is that the hostel is situated in what is essentially a slum area where you’ll be walking along a path of wooden planks hovering above a mangrove swamp full of garbage. The stench of human sewage will eventually make its way into your sleeping quarters. Actually, it lingers throughout the entire hostel. The locals and staff were warm, friendly people, but the condition of the area needs some serious inspection if the health of anyone passing by is any priority. In my humble opinion, some hostels just need to close shop until a basic level of healthy standards are met - for everyone’s safety. This is one of them. Beware.

This place is very affordable. The rooms are okay. The sheets are not so fresh, tbh. And the CR, although clean, is only one and there are other guests in the house so you have to wait. Also when we first arrive, the entrance is not that welcoming as it is in the middle of local households and you have to cross a makeshift bridge to get there. Also spotted some cockroaches in the dining area which is very unsanitary because they have utensils for shared use. All in all, it was okay at night, it was peaceful and quiet despite those drawbacks.

This was really a very nice and affordable place to stay. The staff were friendly and the kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The staff even helped us buy stuff we needed by going out at night.
