We booked Coron Tour A with K-Tours. Overall, it was breathtaking to see and experience the beautiful Coron.The tour was fun and informative and the crew were thoughful about our needs. However, there was a mishap with hotel pickup and the van didn't arrive until 9am (planned pickup time was 8am to 8.30am). It was disappointing because we were hoping to start the tour early so that we can get to spend more time in the locations. Since it started late, we felt that we didn't have enough time to see and experience some of the stops. We have expressed our disappointment to the staff and they were very kind and understanding and compensated us for it by giving us free snorkels.

MUST read before booking I booked with K Tours vIa my hostel. I normally google to check if operators are reputable but this time I didn’t as I took my hostels word for it. Had I checked the reviews, I would have realised not to book with them. Key points to note: - People were charged different prices. I assume that there is a standard price and then whatever is charged above that, the hotel or hostel gets their cut (not confirmed though). I was charged 1600 for the super ultimate tour with extra 200 for some lake. A couple managed to get theres for 1050 each and others for 1400,1500 each and even heard a couple got charged 2000 each. Watch out and negotiate. - I got picked up on time at 8 but others were delayed. Some guests got fetched after 9.30 (after waiting since 8 and numerous phone calls) which resulted in us only leaving after 10 (when asked was told we’re waiting for ‘coastal clearing’ which was a lie because as soon as the final guests arrived, we left.) Very unprofessional and unorganised. - Groups aren’t small as some people were told. Think there were 30-40 people on this massive boat. All tour groups e.g A,B,C etc were on this boat. Some people didn’t see the attractions they paid for and were told ‘but you saw these other ones instead’ which is not acceptable. - Because we were on one boat, and there were only 2 small boats to take us to shore resulting in delays as had to do a couple trips. - Tour is meant to be from 8am - 5pm. We only reached 1 stop by 12pm. So had to do the other 6 stops by 5pm. In the end we only got home at 7.30pm because of the delays and the one motor was broken leaving us to sail slower than a snail. Cherry on the cake was that it was pissing with rain so was drenched by the time I got to the hostel. - Lunch - what a disaster. I’m a veggie and told my hostel and the one staff member. Had a mouthful of what I thought was the only veggie dish but no it contained pork. They had no lunch option for me. I told the guy I was unhappy about how the tour had been run and I had no food and wanted to go back to shore. He said one of the little boats couldn’t take me and after words back and forth, told me if I wanted to get to go back, I needed to find my own way back (which clearly isn’t possible when I’m in the middle of the ocean and really - who would I call up?!). He was just really rude, I was quite upset and got a bit teary. My only option was to wait until we got back to shore at 5pm (later turned out to be 7.30pm). - No Kayaks per pamphlet - No light snacks and drinks per pamphlet (we got water but you had to purchase drinks) - People were bored and unhappy. People felt ripped off. In the end, we just wanted to go home. - I didn’t have lunch - it looked good but people said it wasn’t great at all. If you were one of the later small boats to get back to the boat, you got what was left. In their defence, the rude guy actually came and offered me a drink later. He apologised and said that he spoke to the hostel who would refund me. He said that if there was anything I needed, I should just let him know and it was on them. Most of the guides were very sweet and friendly and a couple came to check up on me. I didn’t do the rest of the attractions because my pride got in the way. I heard that some were really cool though so my suggestion would be to book with a company that confirms they have a smaller group - i assume it will be a lot more intimate, easy to manage and you have more time to see attractions. Assume it would probably be cheaper as well. Also check out reviews first - I’ve learnt my lesson.

I did the 'ultimate' island hopping tour in Coron and I was very disappointed. The places we visited were beautiful and the food at lunch time was good, however the snorkel i hired off K-Tours was completely broken, and snorkeling is a big part of the trip. I was still forced to pay full price for the snorkel rental, and was not offered any discounts or an apology. As there are so many options available I would recommend using a more professional tour operator.

It’s one of the most expensive agency in the town. But we are total mistreated. The tour was delayed but we knew that after we called the agency. They came late, of course, after postponed to 9am pick up. We are told the tour would be less than 10 people and including canoe and mask. However, when we arrived the boat was loaded with 24 people (the capacity on boat written 20pax). We are asked to pay for lending mask while the canoe was nowhere to be seen.

Booked tours were not followed exactly as placed on the brochure. 1st tour service was great though. The 2nd not so much.
