Spare some time and learn about the history and current struggles of the Bangsamoro and the unique culture of this part of Mindanao. The material culture and the collection are a good effort for current generation to understand the struggle and the glory of this region, lost in the national consciousness. However, the collection and the super texty display overwhelms visitors! I don’t think the events in small texts on display on the wall enough as a thesis will have someone to read it all, unless it has a free copy at the library perhaps? Some displays also for the cultural month lack proper citation. I’m lucky that there’s two senior HS students interns who served as guide. Quite a good internship venue and practice for them I’d say! However, i hope it is time we teach them and we learn to differentiate the usage of “tribe” vs “ethno-linguistic group”. Looking forward for more displays and enrichment of the collection here.
