Very enjoyable visit. We started off wandering around on our own but soon afterwards Edwin, one of the tour guides showed my wife and I around. It made a huge difference having someone explain the history and point out interesting facts. Thanks Edwin. Highly recommended.
Interesting museum in the old city of Vigan. Well preserved historical house. Lots of information boards in each room. Lovely views out of the windows into the streets below.
P50 entrance fee. Very well kept museum.
Outside there are two historical markers.
The mansion provides you with a rich history of Vigan, President Quirino and and the Philippines in general. The staff in the ground floor can tour you through the house and will tell you interesting insights and things you would not read anywhere else. So I would highly recommend to do a tour with them.
A lot of furniture is still original and creates this cozy historical feeling and let's you immerse in the living conditions of the family back in the day.
You must visit this place if you are in Vigan. It does not only provide a place to take pictures but provides you with a very good history lesson about the residence connection to the history if our country. Guides are provided for you to learn the history of this place.
I"ve learned a lot about the place and its connection to various notable persons on our history. This is a very worthwhile experience and you should definitely go here. You will have some real history lesson and not just pictures in this place. Lots of historical place can be found inside the house with its significance explained by the guide.
Rich history and rich owners! Lol! I wish there was a tour guide to provide more stories and explanation. But, it's great how they preserved their things in the house. The carvings on the furniture are intricate. The house is really big. It made me imagine how people lived in the olden times. :)
