I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Yes, it is filled with tourists. But you know what else it’s filled with? Whale sharks! Even though some people have questioned the ethics of this place, I found their practices to be not too bad and surprisingly considerate. We swam with these beautiful animals for 30 minutes and it was one of the best things I’ve done in years.

Being one of the few to come here before it was commercialized. I am amazed by the creature but also fear that they might not survive in the wild because of what thwy are doing

I honestly was nervous at first since this whale sharks are about 20 plus feet Iong but they are harmless. It was such a thrilling experience and I highly recommend it since it is super cheap to do it. I believe it was less then $50 dollars and the whole experience is 30 minutes but feels longer. Make sure you go super early before 6am so your first in line I believe they open at 6 or 7 in the morning and it ends before noon. When we got there before 6 it was just us and around 7 there was about 60-70 people. It can get busy quick but we didn't have to wait long. Also have backup plans because of there is a storm they close it down. Happened to us the first day and had to go on the second day. There is a small market area about 15 minutes away so try to book your stay around there since it's such a nice village/town.

Hands up, this place is just wonderful. The water is so blue, and you can enjoy the whale shark watching up close. It is a bit costly and you can only stay there for around 30 minutes and you also have a guide along with the boat but overall, the place is just magical, you can even swim near beach for free.

The viewing of sharks is really a special experience to go through, however we had to wait in the queue for 5 hours which was too long
