Senses Spa Atria

Access: This is beside Iloilo's (then) hottest destination, Smallville. It is a few minutes walk from Eaplanade, Atria, and Diversion Road. You will not have a problem finding a parking spot in this place. Staff: Staff are friendly and courteous. The one who I think is the owner is also friendly. They are well mannered beyond other spas here in the city. Opening doors, interacting, smiling, greeting good evening etc. It's amazing. Probably the friendliest spa I've been to. Amenities: I like the chairs, simple, not overly soft. I like the bucket where you soak your feet. It's better than all the other spas in the city. CR is clean but not amazing. They don't have a locker but I like the big box in the massage room where you can put your things. Moving it would really produce sound (sometimes noise) so it's good. I like the disposable shorts since I won't have to worry about hygiene. They provide hangers too. The massage rooms are entered via a sliding door which lessens privacy concerns but at a cost of producing noise. Rooms are still separated by a curtain but the thick kind which blocks of silhouette and the one - piece kind which does not have seams or leaks. Rooms have a tall bed which I like very much as it easily accomodated my 5'10'' body. The bed is sturdy yet it does not have that hole where you place your head. So it's one of those stiff neck spas (I don't get why they even exist in the first place). Rooms are lit well enough - just right. Space is just enough. Music is the typical (no complaints there). Temperature is ok. Massage: I know it is unfair to give a review based on only 1 massage. My therapist was just OK. I chose swedish but it was kinda different. He is sometimes not consistent with the pressures. I'm bothered by small things like not covering the back when the massage is at the arms. But he was polite. Too much oil though. And since this is one of those stiff neck spas, then my neck was a bit sore. Price: They offered a 30% discount which I liked. It's more expensive than most but certainly not the most expensive in the city. They offer a loyalty card and you get a free after 7 massages and not 10! Verdict: I feel bad giving this since the staff are friendly. The massage was just OK for that price. For the same price I could've gotten better experience from my favorite spa place. Would I come back here? Yes, but this place is certainly is not my 1st choice when I want a massage. I would come back here soon for the sake if fairness though. And I think they can provide a better experience. Would I actively recommend it? No Would I passively recommend it? Yes, people should try this place EDIT: I went back to this place availing their body scrub package and it was definitely worth it. The therapist was thorough, professional, clean, and painless. It was really a relaxing scrub. The therapist gave a relaxing massage. Bad points though for lack of working hot shower, lack of shower gel, but there is a shampoo and conditioner. I will definitely go back to this place.
