Very historical. In a simple visit you will experience the life Dr. Jose Rizal during his exile in Dapitan. The fresh air, the silence and the surrounding where you can feel the simple life back then. Place was properly maintained. They also have a separate musuem showcasing Rizal's memorabilia. RIZAL'S SHRINE ENTRANCE IS FREE.

It has been my dream to someday visit Rizal's Shrine in Dapitan and now my dream is fulfilled. The place is grand! There's no entrance fee but freelance photographers will take your photo and sell the printout for P50 each. As you walk around, you get to feel how simple Rizal's life was then and it gave me a sense of feeling that being exiled here wasn't such a bad idea. He was able to accomplish a lot of things from performing surgeries, building a dam, farming, fishing, teaching, and more. Indeed, it was a wonderful experience for me to immerse myself for a moment into our national hero's life.
