Nice, but there were some noisy street kids hanging out inside. They should get a guard

Love the place. Interior looks old but in a good way. It harmonizes the old buildings around Intramuros.

The place is beautiful but the slope above!

Father Jose Burgos (one of the martyrs GOMBURZA) lived in this place for 7 years. A marker attached on the facade reads (Filipino / Tagalog): "In this area lived Padre Burgos since 1865 until 1872 and worked for changes in the church under Spain, became Parish Priest of Parroquia del Sagrario, Fiscal eclesiástico and temporary canonigo magistral the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros. About him Cardinal Gonzales, a Spanish, said: "the Philippines is still probably need isan-hundred years to have a child with wisdom, like Padre Jose Burgos." with Fr. Gomes and Zamora, he died a martyr at the Luneta on February 17, 1872. " - National Historical Institute, 1984 In my translation (English): Father Burgos lived in this place from 1865 to 1872 and worked for the church reformation under the Spanish regime. He became a parish priest of the Parroquia del Sagrario church tax collector, and temporary Canonigo Magistral (preacher) of the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros. Cardinal Gonzales, a Spaniard, speaking of him: "The Philippines will probably need hundreds of years to have a child as wise as Fr. Jose Burgos." Along with two other priests, Father Mariano Gomez and Jacinto Zamora, he died as a martyr in Luneta on February 17, 1872.
