My friend and I got pulled over as he made an incorrect lane change. Was told give the cop 3,000 pesos instead of the 3,500 peso ticket. told my friend who speaks fluent Tagalog to take the ticket. Cop said pay him the 3,000 or he would be two days getting his license back-threatening him. He would not give a receipt of course or a ticket and instead took the 3,000 pesos. It happened 2-25-20 and was a uniformed motorcycle cop. Really, no issues getting a deserved ticket, but forced to pay a 3,000 peso bribe under threat is something I have not seen in 20 countries I have been to. This is lawlessness on steroids, but how to report their own doing egregious acts is another story as I could not get a receipt given to my Pinoy friend. To the police-clean up your department, I normally support law enforcement, but this was VERY SAD to see.

I applied and paid online for the police clearance. The police station I needed to go to wasn't clear. It just said ps 05 ermita mpd hqs. Ermita was the closest to my location, so I chose it but no actual address was provided. I had to use google maps and 3 different locations came up, so I had to go to all three. My appointment was 1-5pm. I finally found the correct location but I got there at 4. When I went to the window, the woman manning the counter said "cut off na" so I said my schedule says up to 5pm and that I had already paid online. She then said "wala kami online. NBI ang meron." So what was the use of the website if the employees do not know of it? I wasted my money, and time and I can't even ask for a refund. Shame on all of you.

Fast service but still long line...hope there are chairs after step2

I got my police clearance on May 18, 2017. It's an easy and fast process. There is no requirement for either cedula or barangay clearance. The police clearance section is easy to see because it has a different entrance and there are lots lof person assisting in the process. I paid 300 pesos which include the clearance and identification card.
