Animal House (Emergency/Surgery)

This place needs to fire the male vet who takes the night shift on Monday at the Emergency center. He had a complete meltdown at my family for no reason at all, over a misunderstanding he had with the receptionist. When it was our turn, the receptionist led us into a room with our dying 14 year old pet because we were next in the queue, as she said to us. When no doctor came after around twenty minutes, I politely asked one of the staff walking around when a doctor would come to see us because our old dog was in a lot of pain due to inability to pass urine for more than 24 hours, and we had been waiting in both the waiting room initially and the small isolated for more than 30 minutes total. Suddenly, this angry vet comes in and starts to unleash a whole tirade against us, telling us that we were forcing him to leave his more important emergency case to attend to us, that there was a queue that we were not following, which WAS NOT TRUE. He started raising his voice at us, and we were legitimately confused, and we started to get upset because he wouldn’t stop insulting us, claiming we were not following rules. We were SO DUMBFOUNDED. Meanwhile our poor dog was suffering, unable to pee. But the doctor wouldn’t stop. We asked to be seen by other vet because he was acting unstable and he practically asked us to leave. Until a really nice lady vet attends to our emergency. That horrible man later apologize to us and we accepted his apology but he should be FIRED. That’s no way to treat ANYONE, much less someone who is there in the EMERGENCY AREA for GOOD REASON. Did he think we were there because we wanted to get a pedicure for our 14 year old dog? We had no idea he was in another emergency with another dog. How on earth would we know that??!?! He started insulting the receptionist, blaming her for everything, claiming she shouldn’t classify us as an emergency. IS A DISTENDED BLADDER OF A 14 year old DOG NOT AN EMERGENCY????? Shame on you. We went there to possibly euthanize and say goodbye to our dog, but we decided not to do it tonight and NOT with you. We will euthanize him elsewhere tomorrow. You’re a horrible person. Don’t bring your beloved pets here unless you really have no choice.
