Consolacion Elementary School is situated in the corner along two converging roads. The school has added and renovated a few buildings to cater more of their students. The students per classroom exceed the ration in which 1 is to 30 meaning one teacher is to 30 students, however in CES most of the classrooms exceed 40 students per classroom. The public school lacks the number of books to cater all these students, normally it would be 3 students to one book but in there context it would be 5 to 1 or even more than that. The education that these students need may not be of quality but the teachers are working hard to cater their students despite the lacking resources. As a social community, the school provides a variety of activities and programs for the students and parents. There are sports team that compete locally to nationally and there are academic contests as well. The school principal that is now in CES is someone I am not familiar with, but I have seen much improvement in the environment of the school when the school principal came. The security is stable as it does not allow random people entering. In previous occasions, the school was able to join the annual Milo fun run and the local Consolacion fun run. Memories were made in this school as parents who formerly attended now send their children there, seeing the same faces of their teachers. They are satisfied with how the school has progressed generally. Despite being hit severely by Typhoon Sendong, the school was able to provide for the students and cater their needs. As part of Cagayn de Oro, City, they contribute in maintaining the cleanliness of their barangay by having an annual cleaning day for the students and parents all over the barangay. The school may not be on par with other major public schools but they indeed producing good students that may be successful in life.
