Nasipit literally means "bitten by a crab"..and surprisingly the geographical shape of the port is like a crab claw..i dont know if theres a connection between the name and the crab tales by the native townfolk..it is a gateway going to visayas and luzon by ship mostly from eastern part of mindanao..if you're enjoying your morning snack eating banana cue in the street of metro manila. That kind of banana was transported from this port.." Saba" sold here for only 10php per kilo..

Clean port. Few food stalls outside.
