Silliman University Medical Center (SUMC) is a 140-bed facility located on the Silliman University campus in Dumaguete City, Philippines. It started as an infirmary in 1901 and became a hospital in 1923. Today it serves both the university and the surrounding community. The medical center maintains a high degree of professional excellence in its services and training programs and has gained a wide reputation for graduates of character and integrity. This Hospital is a joke. The Management is a mess! Patient unfriendly admitting procedures!The nurses and Doctors at the Emergency were just busy playing around with their Smartphones! So unprofessional and incompetent! They will not execute any laboratory test before, unless you are admitted. And that means you must pay the down payment first. If you dont have money, you better go to other Hospitals in dumaguete. I paid 13 thousand Pesos to this Hospital only to wait and wait and getting nothing in return. After staying for only 2 hours in their Private room which i dont recommend you to open the curtains if you don't wanna see the garbage and chaos outside,we finally went to ACE Doctors Hospital where we were finally treated professionally. If you love your life and your loved ones, and want to be treated as HUMAN, go to ACE Medical Center, just a few blocks away from this Hospital.

I came to the hospital as needed a ultrasound, the hospital seems a good hospital overall yet we waited to see and doctor for about a hour which we were then told the doctor was unavailable and they were unsure how long he’d be. I then returned a day later to see the same doctor and the same thing happened I waited and was later told he wasn’t available until later, after seeing him I was then told the ultrasound wasn’t available for another week so I was finally seen at holy child hospital where I was seen by a doctor and had the ultrasound all with a couple hours! Silliman is a good just depends what you need.

It takes forever para matagad, keeps referring you to this office, to this doctor, go to this counter. Im here now for 3 hours with no resolution. It's just a simple CBC and Urinalysis I need. Very disappointing service.

Doctor Erlinda Juan Lim, tried to charge me 3,000pesos for a vaccination which cost 600 pesos at mercury drug store, is this normal in the Philippines?
