Awao Falls

Beautiful and accessible spot. Very wide pool for swimming. Clean surroundings too. No need of trekking experience. Good for family picnic. Well managed tourist spot.

Before reaching this wonderful waterfall, you will need to take the rough road. As you get nearer the falls, the road gets rougher and is best accessible via motorcycle or 4x4 vehicles. The road is not yet developed. The falls is part of Comportella Valley but access to it is via Agusan del Sur. There is a small fee to enter the place and is best during rainy season for more water on the falls, but is still beautiful on dry season.

Great place for adventure-seeker. An hour of bumpy and death defying ride from the municipality proper but it all paid off once u witness the hidden beauty of the falls. Awao is truly A-WOW!

Accessible with affordable local transportation. The less half of the road is under construction. The picturesque falls is amazing but the water bed carries algea that causes skin itchiness. This is due to the natural flow of water is hindered with man made barriers.
