An ancestral house converted into a homey restaurant - Casa Roces definitely gives you this feels. Reasonable price, servings, and quality service. Did i mention Instagrammable too?

Dined here for my birthday on 22nd Dec. I have reserved a function room for 12 and the Asst. Manager Sharon gave me the La Vanguardia room which is good for 25 pax but with consumable amount of P15 K. However, on the day of dinner, the Liwayway room was given to me which is quite cramp, no view and with table exactly to fit 12, but consumable amount is the same. Apparently, reservation for Liwayway was cancelled so it was given to me instead. The Asst. Manager was not in the resto at that time. I was very disappointed as the ambience was not good, no other function room was occupied and not even a single diner in the main dining area, yet we were squeezed in tight space. Food are quite expensive, taste wise is ok, nothing to rave about. Bec of the way we were treated, I wouldnt come back to this place. Not worth it. Not true to the agreement.

Casa Roces is a rustic but romantic resto inside the Malacañang Complex. I love the fusion of nature because of surrounding trees and of history inside the the old ancentral house turn into a stylist restaurant. The price range is quite high but the attentiveness of the waiter and good ambiance makes up for the price of each meal.

Food was okay, the paella negra were great, the lengua was a bit oily and salty and need to be blend with the mash potato. The steak was cooked medium rare but a little bit chewy and the tomato sauce overpower the taste of meat. The ambiance was cool and cozy, great place for romantic date, meetings and family celebrations.
