Mercado (Dipolog Public Market)

A bit cleaner than the usual wet market i have visited. Well-sectioned items though a bit limited in terms of selection. I easily noticed that there are some items that you CANNOT find here: celery, tofu, and tahong shells. Though when it comes to veggies, the variety is surprisingly good. Prices, like in any other market varies depending on the supply and season.

The central market is the best place in Dipolog for fresh produce. Fruit and vegetables are all good. Fish comes in early every moring, well-iced. Buy early, as ice melts later in the afternoon! Meat is not so great; I prefer to buy that from one of the bigger supermarkets, who have far better refrigeration, unless you want some special cut or special meat which the supermarket counters can't or won't be bothered with

Wet market in dipolog where you will be fooled many times by mixing those fresh fish from the old ones so be careful and be vigilant on buying. Be wise! And if you are with a foreigner, then its usually more expensive than what it usually cost...
