The chaplaincy is under the Jesuits who have been providing spiritual support to the countless patients for many many years. Often newly ordained Jesuits are assigned here.

There have been a lot of renovations going on in the chapel in recent years. Masses are said here daily by the Jesuit chaplains, who are also on-call at the hospital. The chapel is a spiritual refuge for UP PGH employees, students, and clients, and for the communities surrounding the university.
