The Manila Collectible is not your ordinary souvenir store. If you are looking for items that are unique and unquestionably Filipino, this is the place to be. In this store, you will find beautiful handcrafted items from the different provinces, painstakingly made by different tribes in the Philippines. What’s awesome is that it bridges the old and new. Keeping old traditions relevant. Just being in this store is a cultural experience on its own.
This place is beautiful, with a great selection of art, books, and culture. I loved that the place has a very Filipino vibe, if there is such a thing! Would definitely come by here again the next time I’m around the area! Thank you for the lovely experience.
Beside the beautiful authentic textiles and collectible items, what I love most about this place is the staff! I've come in several times and every time there's something new to learn. The staff and shop owner take it upon themselves to get to know their customers and show them not just around the shop but also around town (Intramuros area). Their friendly personality is addictive and sometimes I find myself extending that attitude to other customers and as I make my way back home.
I was looking for Philippine indigenous materials and crafts, and found out about this store on insta. That was a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been to this store a few times, and even accompanied them in one of their visits to one of the many tribes they support and work with. It’s such a fulfilling experience, and a valuable one that I will never forget!
The crafts were originally crafted by indigenous groups and local companies. Their products were so fine and unique👏
