Sipaway Island

Consists of 2 barangays, it has concrete roads and traveling is done by tricycle. From Dapdap wharf, a tricycle can tour you around the island for 100Php per head. Sipaway island is a serene place, shows island life's simplicity and connects you to nature.

Such an amazing, calm, and beautiful island. My mom and I visited it. We went biking in the morning and it was quite fun because the road was cemented and the palm trees added such a fresh feeling, away from the bustling and noisy city life I was used to. To my suprise teens walk, ride bikes, or drive a motorcycle. For me the island wasn't hot, due to the presence of many trees..

According to a few locals, the name Sipaway came from "Safe Away" during the war, where people went here to hide. I'm not sure if this is true. The locals were so friendly and very hospitable. You can rent a motorcycle and tour around the island for about 2-3 hrs only.
