A well renovated public hospital but just like other hospital medical service needs to improved. We brought a friend on Friday June 28 who had fever and can barely walk, arrived past 8am. The emergency staff all sitting outside the main entrance rushed to help us carry our friend to the ER. We stayed until past 1pm before a doctor came and check our patient. No IV, whatsoever was given to my friend and we were informed to wait for the laboratory to be available. Usually, lab results are ready after 2 hours but in this hospital, I don't know how long it took. I'm certain it was that long. I know it is a hard job working as a nurse. Probably the pay isn't that good but I think they have the best knowledge, and experience wise to make every single patient's situation bearable, and at least assuring that service if not good though will help. Sadly, it was otherwise. No I.V was administered. no nothing for more than 4 hours! We were informed that our patient has good vital signs but he is actually uneassy and can't urinate and can't stand. His mother in-law arrived from CDO and wanted to get us out and moved to a private hospital somewhere. They had discussions, initially the nurse staff didn't want us to leave without the doctor's approval. To a point where we understood that they are in full capacity and can't accept additional in-patient. The wife was advised that it is okay not to confine my friend and a take-home medicine will do. Finding, UTI, normal CBC, but high sugar was noticed. We went home, the immidiate family rushed him to a hospital was admitted early Saturday morning. On June 30, past 1pm my friend passed away with high sugar - hypoglacymia or acquired diabetes at the ICU Madonna Hospital. I do not intend to question the staff's expertise here. I just want you to know that your actions could save lives. Time is very crucial. I looked at the posted Citizen's Charter - Emergency Room, the process is telling me it should have been flawless. Our experience wasn't. Anyhow, I thank you for all your effort. I know you have save lives as well. God bless
