Ponce Suites Art Hotel

This place is so cool, paintings in hallways, sculptures outside and inside, even the canteen has art, the whole building is art itself. Just awesome. It's a nice place to stay, the rooms are okay, has that rustic feel to it, although could use further soundproofing, but if you just need a place to stay and keep your stuff safe, this is the place. If you're in Davao sight seeing, the hotel itself is worth exploring, in and out, there's a lot to see, a lot of art, from the ground to the top. The owner is an artist, a famous one. If you've seen the giant Durian sculpture at the airport, he's the dude that made it, you can google it. The design of the building is artistically influenced, the furniture are old and recycled which adds to that rustic feel, it shows the artistic ingenuity of the owner. You'll see a bunch of artwork inside that illustrates the owner's life, it's like a journal. Overall, we really liked the place, if ever we come back to Davao, it's where we'd stay.
