The Boathouse | Sibuyan Island

Careful with this dump we were quoted php500/night and at checkout we were told that was the price per person, not per room. it was 4 of us, 2 couples. they wanted to charge us 750-800 per day for a motorcycle with no breaks. there is no food or water provided, you will need to get to town, plan your groceries and expect overpriced fees for transport to get around. the owners mom was there, at times with other ladies, lying on the couch, always on their phones... not something you would expect from a hospitality busines (hospitality being a concept far from this dump) when cooking, we had to clean pans that were stored with oil (not just a little) in them. this is hell

Be careful of the transport to this place or organize it alone. We wanted to stay for few nights here. The place is ok but far away from the city. The owner wanted to organize a transport for us. Sounds nice and for free. The Caretaker of the owner waited for us at the drop off station. All good but for the transport without informing us they wanted 500p for a share Tricycle. So we decided after the scam to leave. Back to Town by triycle we paid for 2 people around 60p.

Yes the transpo from the port to this place is a bit expensive, but the place is so amazing, the owner is very accomodating, this is a perfect place to relax.

Travelled with friends and we really enjoyed our stay here. The homey set up and quiet surrounding (majestic G2 as backdrop) was a treat to our tired and weary souls. The home-cooked food, the generous and hearty serving was a plus and the caretaker was kind enough too to even ask us what we wanted to eat. The owner (she) , who was very thoughtful and accomodating, made sure that we have the utmost attention and support as we navigated our way in and out of the island - from pick up point to the resort, to jeepney/tricycle rides to another destinations, boatride/s for inter island destinations (including Romblon's crown jewel Cresta de Gallo island). A must-consider place to stay while in Sibuyan.
