Filipiniana Hotel Calapan

Hotel definitely reeks of history but necessities are provided for and utilities are functional for a comfortable stay. Some amenities like function hall and pool are not available due to the pandemic.

Good accommodations, wifi not working, pool not accessible (treatment), breakfast small variety.

Filipiniana Hotel is one of the most expensive if not the most expensive hotels in Calapan, Mindoro so it came with certain expectations. I stayed there for 2N and was quite disappointed overall. The hotel is already old and it seems that the management exerts minimal effort to update/maintain the place. On our first night, we weren’t able to use the pool because they were treating it. One of the reasons why I opted for it was because it had a pool (which totally defeated the purpose). I had to remind the staff that they have guests and they should not be treating the pool water when the guests were supposed to be using it.

It was the best hotel in Calapan a few years back, now it really needs some refurbishing.

Cozy place, lovely beds and pillow, you can see how old the place is, a very good sign of stability after all these years... Need a little improvement at the surroundings, more updated lightings for a secure feeling while walking around. And may be drainage needs a little fixing, a p-trap could help the odor from seeping through the drains. For 3,000 with 2 big beds... It's a bargain. 😁👍😃
