Surigao Medical Center

After a Bike accident and broken leg I had an operation in this hospital and stayed here one week. The operation went really well and had an professional and good surgeon. Although the hospital is a bit run down and the surgical room didn’t really look that new or great all went well and really trusted the team. So why only two stars? This hospital is really ‘old school’ and not ready for the 21st century: hardly any (good working) AC, no wifi, don’t accept any credit cards, very bad or no phone signal at all. My insurance company gave a guarantee in writing that they would pay all the costs but still I had to wait 36 (!!!) hours after my discharge from the hospital because they wanted the exact amount in the hospitals bank account. I can tell you that 36 hours is a long time when you just had an operation. And the quality of the nurses: few were good and professional but most could have been working in a mall or the 711 also..... So foreigners and Travellers that don’t have a family that take care of things.... check into St Paul’s or another hospital that is fit for this time. Staying here will make you feel sorry

Everything is so slow for a private hospital. Nurses/staffs in a laboratory lack of professionalism, can hear them laughing and yelling from the corridor
