The Nazarene Catholic School

The Nazarene Catholic School was formerly named as Quiapo Parochial School. It was founded by Msgr. Vicente Fernandez and was first located near the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene. It was built to provide quality education for the urban poor of Quiapo. In 1978, the school was moved to a more spacious area in R. Hidalgo Quiapo through the initiative of Msgr. Jose C. Abriol. From a one building structure, the school grew to have two campuses to meet its increasing population. Since its time of conception, the Nazarene Catholic School has been serving the community by not only providing quality education for the the young people but also openng the doors for those who are of age and are already working to finish their basic education at a minimal cost. It has always remained steadfast in its desire to serve the underprivileged of the urban poor, through its Evening Adult Education Program. This program aims to help those who are working during the day to acquire quality education after work. NCS takes pride in being one of the first private school in this area to offer Evening Adult Education. To this day, the school continually offers elementary and high school evening classes. Through the initiative of its current Director, Msgr. Gerardo O. Santos, NCS(QPS) offers quality education at a very minimal cost.
