Laity of Our Lady of Peace & Good Voyage Parish of Tondo Inc

The church is kept clean and orderly. You won't believe that a nice and medium-size church sits at this poverty-stricken land in Manila. There is no parking space on the street. A few cars may park inside the grounds of the parish. Parish Priest Fr. Jorge Peligro is very particular about the upkeep and orderliness of the church. He was a formator and former dean of a seminary thus his ways are methodical. The Tondo community dwellers are among the poorest of the poor in the country. Only a few hear mass. Many of the church's teachings don't register or are not remembered by the people in Tondo because of a simple reason: their focus is to earn a living so they can feed their families. Fr. Peligro has so many ambitious plans from feeding to teaching Catechism and opens the church's door to kind-hearted individuals who are willing to share their time and resources for his pro-poor programs.
