Sta. Rita de Cascia Church, Patron Saint of the Impossible, used to be a small chapel along the Padre Burgos - Agdangan National Road. (I have included a picture of the original chapel with the statue of Sta. Rita.) It is situated in Brgy Walay, Padre Burgos, which is one of the municipalities of the Bondoc Peninsula, in the Southeastern part of Quezon province, of the Calabarzon Region in the Southern part of Luzon island, Philippines (Wikipedia). According to the church caretaker (who was the only person around at that time), the new church, as seen in the pictures, was completed 3 years ago. I asked her what time is the church usually open and she said the side door is open 24-hours. (I still need to verify these, for future updates.) I have also included a picture of the contact number of the parish priest, in case you need immediate detailed information about the church and its ammenities/services. Being Black Saturday (and it was around noon already), there was no activity in the church. Although I saw different carrosas (floats) within the church confines that were probably used in the traditional Good Friday procession, which is a common devotional activity of the Philippine Holy Week. The church is still undergoing constructions. It will still take awhile before it is completely finished, but you can already see its grandeur. It has beautiful stained glass windows and a wide church altar. Overall, I would say it is a medium-sized church. However, for now, the church only has make-shift comfort rooms which is understandable. By the way, I noticed that the church has a unique Way of the Cross that goes thru a winding road. I will be showing some pictures of these (sorry staions 13 and 14 only). I didn't have time to do the 14 stations. I will talk about this in detail in future reviews. Do visit Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church if you are in the area. It is a peaceful and serene place. A good place for meditation and chance to pray for thanks and a safe journey. Try to go early morning or late afternoon because the midday sun can really get hot.

the slope is too steep for wheel chaired devotees. the ambiance is so peaceful, over looking the nature of bondoc peninsula. btw, it is still under construction
