Igang Marine Station SEAFDEC

The fishes in their cages are super huge! We learn here that they conduct years and years of research to help the industry increase the harvest of cultured seafoods. Though the research center is really nice, you need a lot of courage in going to this place because if the sea is a bit gloomy, expect some waves to rock your travel.

The tour guide here was fantastic. Very knowledgable, funny, and inclusive. He was kind enough to explain a lot of things in very good English although I was the only foreign guest on the deck. I even got to feed some of the rather large Milkfish. Definitely something to check out on an island hopping adventure

Interesting place. Very informative facts about the fishes and other marine species are given by the personnel present.

Had an amazing experience there! The sleeping quarters were very clean and comfy. :) You can spend an all-night-videoke without having to worry about complaining neighbors. Unlimited swimming too! oh! and bangus-feeding is a must-try!

Been there last april 17,2016..marvelous experience..willing to go back someday.
