More than 50 years ago i.e. in 1965, I engaged in construction of this cement mill called Bacnotan Cement Corp. This place was coconut forest, and we had hard time to excavate hard rocks to place foundations for the plant equipment. Honorable president of the Bacnotan Cement was Sir Filemon C. Rodrigues whom all of us admired its polite leadership as excellent civil engineer and management. Many of my Philipino friends and colleague worked together for the construction have been past, but I will bring all of memories as my treasure. I, some day, if I am still alive, will visit the place and desirous to sand at the beach where Davao Insular Hotel existed.
