St. Jerome Parish Church is located in Duenas, Iloilo. I visited the Church on a Saturday afternoon before the anticipated mass that will start at 4:30 P.M. As I entered the premises, I was amazed by its imposing symmetrical structure. The facade is so beautiful. It was designed with two similar bell towers between the main door. When I opened the door, I was surprised by its interior. The walls inside is made up of yellowish color sandstone that is the same material used in the outside walls. The "retablo" or main altar is so bright as the sunlight coming from the Church dome is giving brightness. I visited many churches but this is one of my favorite Churches because I was surprised every corner like the Image of Our Lady of Fatima, "Pieta", and images of Saints especially St. Jerome. I admit that this is the first time that I saw and knew St. Jerome. It is an experience of my lifetime to visit this Church named after the patron saint St. Jerome. Its mass schedule - Sunday, 5:00 A.M.-first mass and 8:00 A.M.-second mass; Monday to Saturday, 6:00 A.M.; Saturday, 4:30 P.M. (anticipated mass); and First Friday, 5:30 A.M.
