A beautiful and historical Church. If you're going to have the church booked for a wedding, check the sound system and its volume since it tends to be too echo-ey like most churches.

Garnering its name from Malaat referring to the salty water of the bay, the Our Lady of Remedies parish venerates a statue of the Virgin Mary at the altar, brought from Spain in 1624. Within the church grounds stands a Pieta in honour of the people of Malate who were Massacred in 1945 and the 5 Columban priests who remained with them. The church was also razed to ashes by the Japanese Troops in very same year. Since it’s final reconstruction began in the 1950s, this Boroque-styled landmark has been loved and cared for, even winning the highest award given by the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2015.
