This so-called veterinarian killed my 2mo old shih tzu. My little boy started vomiting on a Sunday, on a day where most places (including my vet) are closed. I frantically searched google for all the nearest veterinary clinics that might be open and called a bunch of places; none answered except this clinic. After talking to them, I noticed that my pup had diarrhea, but only a small quantity. I got there and the vet wasn't around, and I was informed that he won't arrive until 1pm. I was advised by the brother of the vet, who was watching over the clinic, to leave my pup behind so as to lessen the stress he's already going through (since it was hot outside), and so I did. Later that day, I finally met up with the vet, asked a bunch of questions, and TRUSTED HIM that he know what he's doing. He told me he would administer a long-acting anti-diarrheal that lasts 14hrs via injection, even though I only asked for an anti-emetic, but eventually agreed to this. Lo and behold, when he came back from the backroom, he had 3 needles with him, all of which he administered to my pup. I didn't know what the other two shots were, but trusted his judgement. He then advised me to give my pup oral glucose, 1ml of metoclopramide every 6-8hrs, and to start him on some vitamins the next day. I even clarified the instructions with him several times and have asked him to write everything down so that I have a copy of the instructions to avoid confusion. Did as I was told to do, but my pup looked like he was in a lot of pain. The next day, I decided to go see my vet because my pup didn't stop whining. This was when I found out the fatal mistakes. My vet asked me how come I was giving my pup 1ml of metoclopramide when the maximum dose for his size is 0.5ml, and that given his current weight, should only be receiving 0.25ml. I showed him all the instructions that Monroy wrote down for me. My vet also then proceeded to tell me that I need to stop the vitamins because these were aggravating his condition as they are oil-based. My vet also told me that there is no such thing as a long-acting anti-diarrheal, and that Monroy most likely injected some antibiotics instead, and my vet doesn't know what the other two shots Monroy administered, but guessed that one of them is a vitamins, which also mean that my pup didn't need the oral supplements Monroy sold me. My pup died in my arms that night due to respiratory arrest due to overdosing of an anticholinergic (Metoclopramide) because this so-called veterinarian didn't bother computing for the right dose and re-checking his written instructions. Makes me wonder how many other furbabies out there suffered the same consequences of his negligence. Do yourselves a favor and never go to this vet.
