It is not a place of global or even national history. Oh, a rural cemetery like many. But this one hides an interesting secret. Well, on the wall along the road, you can find a cross marked within a wall with a different color of bricks. What is there Here is the story. In 1796, the dean in Opoczno was priest Jan Siekierski, a fan of Polishness and a patriot ... He committed suicide in Kunicach, or at least it was officially announced. Unofficially, suicide was faked by tsarist murderers. The cross in the wall marks the burial place of the priest. Already in the twentieth century, the local priest made efforts for exhumation and proper funeral, but after his death the case was forgotten. It is not, therefore, the Kunicki cemetery, the burial place of a celebrity of any age. But small stories like the one about Father Siekierski are also valuable and worth saving. In addition, the tomb of the Ossowski family is located at the cemetery in Kunicach, many of whom were significant people, e.g. they took part in the Warsaw Uprising. Hubal's adjutant Henryk Ossowski is lying there and the memory of him is cultivated by students from a nearby school.
