The Old Market Square in Turku is the central square of the city, and its shape is similar to a square. The frontages of the market are built up with one or two-story houses from the 19th and 20th centuries, which replaced the earlier wooden ones. In the northern frontage there is a magnificent town hall with clock tower, now turned into a museum. At the south-eastern corner there is a magnificent and architecturally beautiful church. Sacred Heart of Jesus.
